这几天朋友向我咨询她的创业项目，是一个 e-commerce 网站。我大概看了一下代码和要求，帮她寻找一位比较有经验、靠谱的 ruby 程序员。这份工作适合白天有工作，但晚上和周末想磨刀锻炼，顺便赚一点外快的同学。

About the Project

It's a newly established ecommerce site aimed towards the fashion clothing industry in Australia. The ecommerce platform helps users to connect, borrow, lend and/or sell their clothing items.

Technical Details

• Rails 4
• Ruby 2.3

I've taken a quick look at Sharetribe's code base, for a project that's been around since 2008 it's fair well maintained and very readable. Since being worked on from late last year, the original freelance developer has implemented several features. The developer however, was pretty new to ruby and rails, so I'd imagine there're some refactoring and tweaking to be made.

Requirements

• Given the complexity of Sharetribe, you will need at least 2-3 years of experience working on Ruby or Rails projects
• You will need full-stack experience, proficiency in JavaScript is a must
• The ability to build new things (features) without incurring a huge amount of tech debt (a.k.a. clean up after yourself!)
• Fluent verbal and written English skills, a good communicator
• Stable availability, can dedicate a minimum amount of hours per week to this project

Work Estimation

Based on my quick assessment of the code base as well as the change requirements. I estimate around 30 hours worth of work for the high priority items, there are of course countless lower priority items to be worked on too. Eventually this will become a steady, "slow burn" project that you can chip away at your own pace, once some of the more urgent items are implemented and resolved.

You may choose to provide a fixed quote, or an hourly rate (in RMB or AUD).
