Description:

We are looking for a talented, senior Rails developer to join our Web Portal team. You will work with the team to build and evolve our customer facing portal and internal command-n-control portal. You are a passionate and mature web developer with great architectural and engineering skills. You can make pragmatic trade-offs, communicate with peers and management, delivery high quality code and help mentor the team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop customer facing and internal command-n-control portals
• Work with team to evolve architecture to support business needs in SaaS environment
• Work with team on continuous improvement of portals in areas of performance, usability, functionality, scalability, and availability
• Work as both individual contributor and as project lead when required
• Mentor and share knowledge about technologies, best practices, and coding standards with other members of the team

Requirements:

• 8+ years web developer
• 4+ years full-stack expertise in Ruby on Rails
• Proficient in RESTful APIs, NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, HBase, Cassandra)
• Experience with Test Driven Development
• Strong Object-Oriented skills
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong time and project management skills
• Stronglanguage skills, in English and Chinese, for written and spoken communications
• Work in bilingual environment and with Western managers
• B.S. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent
• “Plus” Qualifications and Qualities desired:
• Experience working with SaaS products
• Experience with Amazon or similar cloud systems
