Once I was merely destined to be a C++ developer, I came to Tencent ShangHai for a job interview. All my friends trusted me, then I failed them all. C++ is really creepy, whatever, in other words I was not smart enough to figure it out.
At the same time, I took a book Design Pattern in Ruby from LingXi Library of DLUT. Then It totally blowed my mind. I learned a lot, and became kinda applied.
I started my career as a rubyist. Years passed, passed again my faith.
I don’t know Ruby. I use ruby day in, day out and have done for years, but do I really understand it? No. Sure, I understand a lot of it and I often read the news-letters and the mailing lists, but no.
Easier as it is to figure out the best way to solve a problem or fix a bug, harder for you to to challenging questioning your tools.
