Comau robotics BU is looking for a well versed start-up minded web application developer to work in support of building Alarm Knowledge Base applications.

Tracking and Diagnosing alarms in robots operation is a tedious and time consuming process. The Alarm Knowledge Base enables the technicians to solve alarms in a more accurate and efficient manner. This is made possible using a rich knowledge base to analyze potential causes and recommend appropriate solutions for the problem. Responsibilities

• Develop internal tools to be used within the company
• Cooperate closely with R&D teams developing various products (including but not limited to web applications)
• Maintain and refactor existing code base to improve functionality, performance, and modularity
• Write scalable and maintainable code quickly in a professional software engineering environment
• Keep abreast of programming trends, tools, technology and innovations by internet research and continuing professional development

Qualifications

• 3+ years software development experience
• 1+ years developing Ruby on Rails or Python applications
• Experience designing and developing Saas systems and rich service APIs
• Experience with Agile development and Cucumber/RSpec TDD/BDD
• Strong knowledge of data stores such as MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.
• Experience working with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Familiarity with Git for source control preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Can learn new technologies and languages quickly
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science/Mathematics/Automation or related; or equivalent work experience
• Willingness to travel

Desired Qualifications

• Experience developing with C/C++ or Java
• Experience developing native mobile applications (iOS, Android and/or WP8)
• Good Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, sockets, etc
• Good Knowledge of Object recognition, Computer vision and OpenCV libraries would be a big plus

Job Location

• Sijing Town, Songjiang District, Shanghai City
• Future relocation to Robotics Industrial Park, Kunshan, Jiangsu Province
