Online training organization is looking for a qualified expert in Ruby on Rails and MYSQL for Chinese adaptation of code. Workload includes:

receiving code from a US partner and adapting to Chinese context and Chinese language interface
troubleshooting and testing final Chinese platform
actively participating in discussion with testers of the platforms to improve user-friendliness
excellent communication skills with partners who do not understand coding, flexibility and solution-oriented mindset

This project provides a unique opportunity for innovation on the field of public good in China and will be duplicated under future projects.

Duration: 3 months from October to December 2014

Location: ideally in Beijing

English: basic knowledge for reading and writing email, spoken skills preferable

Hello Rubyist!

2014 年第一次 GZRUBY 聚会，也是我们第 17 次 GZRUBY 活动，将于周三，3 月 26 号晚上 19:00 在地点举行。这次我们的场地换到一个创业公司：FocusCom，感谢他们的合作。在岗顶附近天河商贸大厦 14 楼。

除了广州本地的 Rubyist 之外，本次我们还欢迎来自云梯的kgen (Kgen Bao)，以及来自上海的jasli2，相信他们的加入会让本次聚会的内容更加精彩。

In the short run, the most important thing is to release our next version of the product, and so it is critical that you can immediately make big contributions to our complex web-based application. In addition to working with us in writing the software, the ideal candidate should be proficient outside the technical realm--making good product decisions, providing our design team with ideas in designing user interfaces that are both pretty and functional, being an effective marketer and recruiter of other team members, and being capable of handling anything else that comes up. Your role on this company will be more of a "co-founder role" and not a simple Engineering role, so you should also be fearless and broad inside the technical realm.

You will be required to make good decisions about important things without much oversight. You should be comfortable with autonomy and ownership of large areas of product and infrastructure. It's a plus if you have worked on projects in your spare time, such as programming games in middle school or high school. An ideal candidate will have the potential to grow into a strong leadership role over time--in either a technical or management capacity (i.e. eventually the equivalent of a Google Fellow or a V.P.)
